Honda Australia has announced that they will be fielding riders in every national road and off road motorcycle Championship in 2009.

The manufacturers current partnerships with Full Throttle Sports (Motocross and Supercross), Motologic (Australian Superbike) and GHR Honda (Australian Off Road Championships and desert racing) will continue with each Team to participate in their relevant series.

Amidst turbulent economic times, Honda are pleased to announce their renewed commitment to each facet of the sport, according to Tony Hinton, General Manager, Motorcycles.

"We are still working out the finer details of operations for 2009, but are very pleased to say that we will be participating at a factory level next year in each major title series."

"Each of these Teams has performed very well for us, and we are looking forward to their continued dedication in the future."

Motologic - headed by Paul Free- took out the Australian Superbike Championships with Glenn Allerton and the new CBR1000RR this year, whilst GHR once again scored major wins in the Australian Off Road Championships, Finke Desert Race and Australian Safari.

"In his first year running, Yarrive Konsky and his Team at FTS also had some great results in Pro Open and Pro Lites Motocross and Supercross," said Mr Hinton.

"All relevant parties are keen to keep the momentum going and back up their titles where possible."

A further announcement regarding athletes signed to ride for Honda in 2009 will be made shortly.
